#What is worth writing about

Factual corrections. A wrong year, a misattributed work, a mislabelled interval, a cited treatise that says something different: these are the messages that improve the site most, and they get priority. If you can name the edition or the source you are checking against, say so — it usually resolves the question in one exchange.

Disagreements about analysis. Music theory contains genuine arguments, not only facts. If you think an analysis of a passage is wrong, say which passage and what you hear instead. Some of the best corrections to the articles here have come from performers.

Licensing and reuse. Quoting with attribution and a link is always fine. Republishing a whole article, translating it, or using the corpus to train a model requires permission, so ask first.

Tools. If a tool misbehaves — a wrong reading in the tuner, a drift in the metronome, a chord labelled incorrectly — include the browser and operating system, and what you played. Timing and pitch bugs are usually reproducible in one sentence.

#What not to send

Pitches for guest posts, link insertions, sponsored articles and “we noticed your site could rank higher” offers go unanswered. The site does not carry third-party advertising, and no sponsored content is published.

#How messages are handled

There is no contact form here on purpose: forms need spam protection, which means either a third-party service that tracks visitors or a homegrown filter that fails anyway. Email arrives directly. Messages that report a correction to a published article are usually answered within a few days, and the article’s front matter records the update when the fix lands.

For anything about a recording rather than an article — takedowns, licensing, sync requests — mention the release and the platform, and the request will be routed to the right distributor.
